Bethesda Purpose Statement

Bethesda is a Life Changing Community

Our purpose is to be a vibrant Christ-centred church which reflects God’s Kingdom and gives glory to Him in everything we do, through:

Bringing the truth, hope and life changing power of the Bible to all
Equipping believers through mentoring and friendship
Teaching God’s Word and applying it to our daily lives
Helping those in need in our community both physically and spiritually
Enabling all to use their skills to serve God and others
Sharing Jesus’ love with the local community and beyond
Deepening our relationship with God through corporate prayer and worship
Allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and direct us at all times

We are a Pentecostal church who believe that every individual can and should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have the opportunity to be part of a local, vibrant church.

We adopt the statement of faith of the Assemblies of God UK. (This is what we believe as a Church). The Vision and commitment of Assemblies of God UK is to: “Give every man, woman and child the opportunity of understanding the gospel and to provide a church where they can grow in ministry for the glory of God.”

We believe that the Bible (i.e. the Old and New Testaments excluding the Apocrypha), is the inspired Word of God, the infallible, all sufficient rule for faith and practice. Read more from AoG statement of faith >
