“Outside church we are kept busy with grandchildren and elderly parents. The old saying that you did not know how you had time to work is very true. I have many interests, gardening, wildlife, cooking for family and friends, sport, particularly football [don’t play any more but like to watch] and walking in the country side.”
Nick Malone, Elder
Nick has been married to Frances for just over 33 years and they have a daughter, Clare, who lives in Birmingham where she works as a doctor.
He has been a Christian for 37 years after a dramatic encounter with God at the age of 22 and has developed a personal relationship with Him ever since. He enjoys leading worship, preaching and teaching from His Word. Nick has travelled extensively around the world over the years sharing whatever God asks him to say.
More recently, has found it a privilege to serve on the leadership team at Bethesda. He looks forward to being able to see the church have an ever greater influence in the local community and see it flourish and grow into what it has been called to be.
“Outside church, I now work in a social care day centre where we support adults with Autism and associated learning and behavioural difficulties. Previously, I was a teacher for 25 years after having worked in business post-graduation.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing cricket and driving my 1937 sports car as well as entertaining both existing and new friends and guests in our home. I look forward to meeting you soon!”
